FC Bayern breathe a sigh of relief: Kane rests for friendly against Brazil

Harry Kane suffered an ankle injury last week in the Bundesliga match against Darmstadt 98. Nevertheless, the 30-year-old striker travelled to the England national team. It has now been announced that the FCB professional will miss the prestigious clash against Brazil.

Those responsible in Munich are still worried about Harry Kane. The top scorer suffered an ankle injury in the 5:2 win against SV Darmstadt 98 just under a week ago. The attacker has nevertheless decided to travel to the England national team. According to reports, Kane will be treated there by his „medical consultants“.

Brazil game comes too soon for Kane

The Three Lions will face five-time world champions Brazil at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday. According to the British Telegraph, Kane will miss the prestigious clash against the Selecao. According to the report, the game comes too soon for the striker.

According to the Telegraph, however, it cannot be ruled out that the Bayern professional will play in the friendly against Belgium three days later (26 March). According to the report, the England team doctors classify the ankle injury as „not serious“.

Munich will certainly be keeping a very close eye on the healing process. Sporting director Christoph Freund had already emphasised before Kane’s departure for the national team that Bayern will coordinate „very closely“ with the doctors of the England national team: „Harry will not take any risks,“ the 46-year-old stressed.

Bayern are struggling with massive injury worries this season. The loss of top striker Kane would be a major setback for the German record champions.
