FC Bayern is among a number of clubs that have shown great interest in Manchester United’s JJ Gabriel. The 16-year-old wants to leave the Red Devils and is considered one of the greatest offensive talents in all of Europe.
Bayern has scouted the player on multiple occasions and has also reached out to the player’s camp. In addition to the record champions, teams such as PSG and FC Barcelona also made early contact.
Just a few weeks ago, there were already signs that Real Madrid was applying pressure in its pursuit of the top-tier attacking player and had a good chance of convincing him to make the move.
FC Bayern: No Chance Left with Gabriel?
But even though the Royals were recently in pole position, the other interested clubs have continued to try to convince the player to sign with them.
According to a report by The Athletic, however, Real Madrid will win the race. The teenager’s move to the “Royals” is reportedly set to take place as early as January.

Theoretically, something could still derail the deal. The transfer isn’t yet finalized and is subject to FIFA regulations regarding the transfer of minors, though it is already at a very advanced stage.
The 16-year-old is expected to sign a long-term contract with his new club. An agreement has also been reached on the financial terms. English media recently reported that Real Madrid is offering the best overall package—at least financially. As for his development opportunities, that will also depend on the club’s upcoming transfer market plans. Currently, the Royal Club’s offense is well-stocked.
Manchester United is also said to have tried until the very end to convince Gabriel to stay. In particular, the prospect of playing time on the first team was used as a means to try to bring about a change of heart. Ultimately, however, the relationship between the club and the player had become too strained.
