Kane’s stats are absolutely outstanding
It’s worth taking a closer look at these numbers. He secured the Golden Shoe as Europe’s top scorer. He was also the leading scorer in the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal.
In the UEFA Champions League, he was the second-highest scorer, netting a total of 73 goals in 64 games—the second-highest tally by a player in a single season of all time. Only Lionel Messi remains unmatched in first place in that regard.
In addition, Kane provided eight assists. That means he was involved in a goal every 73 minutes—an incredible statistic for the English forward.
And it wasn’t just about the numbers. The impact Kane had on the overall play of Bayern Munich and the English national team was simply enormous. That’s why this season cannot be praised highly enough.
For now, the striker is heading off on vacation; after Bayern Munich’s tour of Asia in early August, Kane will return to training. That’s when contract negotiations are expected to enter a critical phase. Both sides are currently confident about extending the contract, which expires in 2027.
