After the international break, FC Bayern will host SC Freiburg and we bring you the starting line-up for the home game against the Breisgauers.
After Munich’s winning streak of 16 consecutive wins in all competitions was snapped in the 2-2 draw at Union Berlin two weeks ago, they will now be looking to make it three in a row. With 28 points from 10 games and a six-point lead over runners-up RB Leipzig, the record champions are still in an excellent position.
Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala are still missing, both of whom are working on their comeback after injuries. Hiroki Ito, on the other hand, is making his squad comeback after a long period of illness. Serge Gnabry will also not be in the squad against Freiburg – he returned from the national team with an injury. Instead, a talented youngster from the club’s own squad will start.

Vincent Kompany makes three changes compared to the 2-2 draw in Berlin. Aleksandar Pavlovic replaces Joshua Kimmich, who returned from the national team with an injury, in central midfield, Tom Bischof moves into the starting eleven and surprisingly takes over the left side of defence. 17-year-old Lennart Karl also gets another start – he replaces Serge Gnabry in attack.
As usual, Manuel Neuer will be in goal, with Josip Stanisic, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof forming the defensive line. Leon Goretzka will start alongside Pavlovic in midfield, with Olise and Díaz completing the attacking midfield alongside Karl. Olise will start in the playmaker’s position, where he impressed for the French national team during the week.
