FC Bayern continues to streamline its roster. Following several departures, Lovro Zvonarek could soon become the next player to leave the record champions permanently.
Planning for the new season is in full swing at FC Bayern. While the Munich club is selectively strengthening its roster, it is also set to release players who do not fit into Vincent Kompany’s sporting plans.
One of them is apparently Lovro Zvonarek. As reported by the Croatian website tportal, the 21-year-old no longer has a future with the German record champions.
Kompany has no plans for Zvonarek
According to the report, head coach Vincent Kompany does not see the central midfielder as part of his squad for the upcoming season. A permanent departure this summer is therefore considered likely.
Zvonarek joined FC Bayern from Croatia in 2022 and has since played primarily for the reserve team. There, he made 39 competitive appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists.
The Croatian also got a chance to play for the first team, scoring one goal in five appearances.
Over the past two seasons, Zvonarek gained playing time on loan—first at Sturm Graz, then at Grasshoppers Zurich.
Interest from Croatia and Portugal

According to information from tportal, Dinamo Zagreb is actively pursuing a deal to sign the midfielder. Reports indicate that initial talks with the player have already taken place.
There also appears to be concrete interest from Portugal. As reported by the Germanijak portal, Estrela Amadora is also monitoring the situation of the Bayern talent.
Zvonarek’s contract in Munich runs through 2027. A sale this summer could be the best opportunity for FC Bayern to secure a transfer fee for the Croatian player. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at around 1.8 million euros.
