Contract talks between Serge Gnabry and Bayern Munich have been going on in the wrong direction for months. Despite the club improving their offer, Gnabry is still considering his future.
Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona are intensively negotiating over the transfer fee for Robert Lewandowski, who has reportedly agreed on personal terms wirh the Catalans.
Local source „Radio Catalunya“ reports that Barcelona have also targeted Serge Gnabry. According to the radio station, the Catalans already inquired about a possible transfer of the German international a few weeks ago.
Although Barcelona have already eyed a favorite in Leeds United’s Raphinha, Gnabry could become a serious option for the Catalans in the summer of 2023 when he is available on a free transfer, a scenario which Bayern want to prevent at all costs.
But regardless of that, Radio Catalunya also points out that Gnabry could still become a serious option for the Catalans, also for this summer, as the future of Ousmane Dembele is still unclear and Barcelona’s main goal is to strengthen the attack this summer.
Reports in Munich claim that Bayern want to sell Gnabry in the summer if no final agreement is reached. The likes of Dembele and Sadio Mane have been linked with a move to FC Bayern over the past few weeks.
