FC Bayern are apparently pressing ahead with their offensive plans for the summer. As reported by BILD, the Munich club have now entered into concrete negotiations with Newcastle United regarding Anthony Gordon. The England international is regarded internally as an absolute dream player for the left flank
What is particularly interesting is that Bayern are said to have already largely reached an agreement with the player himself. Several English media outlets recently reported that Gordon had given the Munich club a commitment in principle to move to Säbener Straße. According to BILD, the 25-year-old would also like to move to Munich in the summer
However, the biggest hurdle remains the transfer fee. Newcastle United are currently demanding around 86 million euros for their top performer. FC Bayern are therefore preparing their first offer: „Bayern want to come in at 60 million. They are trying to meet in the middle. The aim is to push the club down on the price,“ emphasizes BILD head of soccer Christian Falk
Internally, the transfer of Anthony Gordon is said to be a top priority and the supervisory board around honorary president Uli Hoeneß is also behind the planned signing, according to BILD
Gordon fits the Bayern profile perfectly

From a sporting point of view, Gordon would fit Munich’s requirements profile perfectly. The Englishman can be deployed flexibly in attack, but is particularly comfortable on the left flank, where Bayern are looking for additional quality and depth behind Luis Díaz
With his pace, dynamism and aggressive one-on-one play, Gordon also has many qualities that could fit in perfectly with Vincent Kompany’s intense attacking style
His numbers also speak for themselves: so far this season, the Newcastle star has scored 17 goals and provided five assists in 46 competitive matches
However, the transfer will not be easy for Bayern, as several Premier League clubs are said to be interested in Gordon alongside the German record champions. According to BILD, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool FC, among others, are keeping a close eye on the situation
Newcastle are therefore in a comfortable negotiating position, as the attacking player’s contract runs until 2030
Nevertheless, it seems clear that FC Bayern are serious in their pursuit of Anthony Gordon – and the transfer poker has now officially begun.
