Leon Goretzka is on the verge of a landmark decision. The Bayern professional is attracting the attention of more and more top clubs, and now a Premier League club is apparently also in the race for the midfielder.
The 30-year-old’s contract with FC Bayern expires in the summer and Fabrizio Romano has now described Goretzka as a great opportunity for the upcoming transfer market. Arsenal have been linked with the international and could therefore become another serious interested party.
For Goretzka, this increases the choice of potential new employers. The central midfielder can take his next step after the season on a free transfer. It is precisely this starting position that makes him particularly interesting for ambitious clubs, as an experienced Bayern professional would be available without a transfer fee.
Italy remains a hot topic

It was previously reported that several Serie A clubs were courting Goretzka, with AC Milan considered a particularly promising candidate as the Rossoneri are reportedly willing to offer the midfielder a three-year contract. Napoli and Juventus were also mentioned as interested parties.
Goretzka is said to be able to imagine a move to Italy. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan is one of the clubs that appeal to him, and initial discussions with club representatives have been positive. The German international could become part of a major change at Milan.
However, a decision is not expected to be made public immediately. Goretzka’s first priority is the end of the season with FC Bayern. The Munich club is still fighting for major goals, and only then will the midfielder’s future be clarified. Goretzka wants to communicate his choice after the end of the Bayern season and before the 2026 World Cup.
