FC Bayern’s management, led by new sporting director Max Eberl, wants to implement a different salary policy in future. As a result, two stars will also be candidates for sale in the summer.

The FC Bayern management would be prepared to sell two stars in the summer if the right offer is made: Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman. This is reported by Sport BILD.

In recent months, Gnabry has repeatedly been mentioned in reports as a candidate for sale. However, the fact that Coman’s future at FC Bayern could be in jeopardy comes as a surprise. Bayern bosses seemed to be satisfied with the Frenchman’s performances in the past. Especially in important games, Coman could usually be relied upon.

According to Sport BILD, the fact that Coman and Gnabry could end up on the sales list is due to the new salary policy that is to be enforced at Bayern.

According to the report, the new FCB sporting director Max Eberl and those responsible want to be more financially strict when it comes to player salaries in future.

Davies the first to be affected by Bayern’s new strategy

A „cut“ in the team is expected. The days of high, guaranteed salaries and automatic salary increases are therefore over.

According to the bosses, too many players earn around 20 million euros or more a year. Sport BILD counts Harry Kane, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sané – and Gnabry and Coman among them.

According to the report, Alphonso Davies was the first player to be affected by the club’s new strategy. Bayern refused to meet the player’s salary demands of around €20 million a year, made him a final offer of €12-13 million a year and asked for a response by Easter. Davies‘ advisor Nick Huoseh then publicly labelled this ultimatum as „unfair“.
