Is Serge Gnabry one of the candidates for a move to FC Bayern Munich? Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano puts the current rumours surrounding the Bayern winger in context.

It has been a disastrous season for Serge Gnabry so far, but the dynamic winger is currently proving his potential for Munich once again. Nevertheless, Gnabry is seen as one of the candidates whose time in Munich could be over next summer.

Not only the club, but also Gnabry himself are open to anything. However, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano interprets the situation in such a way that nothing has been decided yet. According to Romano, both FC Bayern and Gnabry himself want to wait and see who the new FCB head coach will be. Further decisions regarding the 28-year-old’s future will then be made depending on him.

Gnabry rumours: Hotter cooked than they are

According to BILD, FC Bayern is willing to talk to Gnabry for a sum of €45 million or more. Fabrizio Romano does not deny that the list of interested parties is long. Otherwise, according to Romano, rumours about his departure are currently more heated than they are. Will the 45-time international (22 goals) stay with the record champions after all? The right-footer has just 14 appearances and 3 goals to his name in the current season.

Gnabry has made a total of 232 appearances for FC Bayern, scoring 84 goals and setting up 51 others. Born in Stuttgart, he has been under contract in Munich since July 2018. His contract is valid until 30 June 2026.

In this respect, FCB could still negotiate a transfer fee for the player in the summer of 2025 – or decide to extend his contract after all. In any case, Gnabry has already won everything in Munich. Could this ultimately lead to a departure or even a return to the island, where Gnabry gained experience at Arsenal FC and West Bromwich Albion at a young age?
