Apparently, FC Bayern almost caused Xavi Hernández to resign from FC Barcelona last winter. The reason for this was the poker game surrounding centre-back Ronald Araújo.
As is well known, Bayern knocked on FC Barcelona’s door last winter transfer window for Ronald Araújo. The Uruguay international is still regarded as a very interesting player for the German record champions, whose signing could become an issue again next summer. The fact that a deal was not finalised in the winter was perhaps also due to the attitude of head coach Xavi Hernández.
