FC Bayern is facing a major reorganisation in the summer. In addition to a new head coach, the current squad is also likely to undergo major changes. According to the latest reports, Munich have already drawn up a transfer wish list for the coming transfer period.

The kicker recently reported that at least five players are set to leave the club at the end of the season. Even big names such as Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka are no longer considered unsellable at the Isar.

One thing is clear: should several professionals actually leave the club, Bayern must and will endeavour to find suitable replacements.

According to Sky, the Bayern bosses already have an „extended list“ of potential transfer candidates for the summer. Many of them are currently under contract in the Bundesliga.

Will Bayern help themselves to Leverkusen?

According to Sky, Munich are keeping an eye on Manu Koné (Borussia M’Gladbach), Jonathan Tah, Jeremie Frimpong (both Bayer Leverkusen), Assan Ouedraogo (FC Schalke 04) and Martin Zubimendi (Real Sociedad). They are joined by the two Portuguese youngsters Joao Neves and Antonio Silva from Benfica Lisbon.

Bayern will certainly not sign all the players on this list. The decisive factor will be the new coach’s philosophy and style of play. Should FCB win the contract with their favourite coach Xabi Alonso, the 42-year-old will probably not be averse to bringing Frimpong and Tah to Munich.

Bayern’s sporting director and chief squad planner Max Eberl emphasised when he took office that the search for a coach should ideally be completed before the squad is finalised: „We have to find the right coach who suits Bayern Munich and then the players who suit this coach and the club,“ the 50-year-old stressed.
