Revealed: That’s how much ManCity is asking for Joao Cancelo in summer!

FC Bayern has secured the services of Joao Cancelo until the end of the season. The 28-year-old moved from Manchester City to the German record champions on a loan basis in the winter. According to consistent reports, FCB has an option to buy in the amount of 70 million euros. It has now become known that ManCity would be willing to sell the Portuguese for considerably less on a permanent basis.



With two assists in two games, Cancelo has made a dream debut at FC Bayern. Julian Nagelsmann, his teammates, and those in charge at the Isar are raving about the defensive all-rounder. Meanwhile, fans hope that FCB will sign the full-back permanently in the summer. Sports director Hasan has recently been rather cautious in this regard: „We have made it clear to him that this sum is difficult for us to imagine in the next few years,“ he emphasized to Sport BILD.

A stay beyond the summer is nevertheless not excluded so the 46-year-old: „If all sides absolutely want a joint solution, you can manage that in the end. He knows that he has been one of our desired players for years.“

ManCity already has a Cancelo successor in its sights

As the portal „90min“ reports, ManCity is quite willing to talk in terms of transfer fee. According to this, the financial pain threshold is 50 million pounds, which corresponds to about 56 million euros. In view of the current market value of the Portuguese, which is estimated at 75 million euros, this would be quite a good deal for FC Bayern.

According to the Daily Mail, those responsible in Manchester no longer expect Cancelo to return. The reason: the relationship between the 28-year-old and City coach Pep Guardiola is considered strained. The paper has learned that a successor has already been identified in the form of Ben Chilwell from Chelsea FC.
