RB Leipzig’s star Christopher Nkunku has been one of the most impressive offensive players in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons and has attracted the interest of numerous clubs. Bayern Munich target has now commented on his future.

Nkunku was named „Bundesliga Player of the Season“ this week. The French offensive player has become of the best players in the league. In 135 games for the Saxons, Nkunku has scored 46 goals and has delivered 47 assists.

In the past few weeks, reports have been circulating that the Frenchman is considering his future at Leipzig. The Leipzig star has now denied these reports: “I see myself in Leipzig when the pre-season starts – at the moment. My mind is in RB,“ he explained to „L’Equipe“

According to reports, Leipzig would like to extend the contract, which runs until 2024, by another year and increase Nkunku’s salary from three to seven million euros. In addition, the Frenchman would be inserted a clause of 60 million euros.

The 24-year-old was recently closely linked to Bayern Munich over the past weeks. The club sees the Frenchman as an ideal successor for Serge Gnabry, who is willing to leave as his contract extension is not going very well. If there is no extension, Bayern could try for Nkunku in the summer.
