In addition to Robert Lewandowski, there is also a big question mark behind Serge Gnabry’s future at Bayern. The 26-year-old has received an attractive contract offer, but the German international is hesitant. Julian Nagelsmann has now commented on the contract situation of the Bayern star.

Nagelsmann has repeatedly emphasized in recent months that he hopes Gnabry stays in Munich. Although the winger has been in a performance drop for weeks, the coach still supports Gnabry: „I’ve known him for ages and appreciate him incredibly as a person. He’s so emphatic. In training, he is one of the most hard working players.“

„Extensions are not always easy at Bayern Munich“

When it comes to extending the contract, there is still no agreement between Gnabry and Bayern. From Nagelsmann’s point of view, this is not really a surprise: „Several discussions are required with players of this level. Extensions are not always easy at FC Bayern, as many parties play a role.” But the 34-year-old made it clear that he is planning to work with Gnabry: “I definitely want to keep him – but unfortunately it is not in my hands .”

According to „BILD“, Bayern have improved their offer again. Gnabry should be able to earn between 17-19 million euros per year with the record champions in the future. However, the German international is not entirely happy with his role in Munich. According to rumors, he complains about a lack of appreciation compared to other players like Joshua Kimmich or Leon Goretzka.
