Over the weekend, FC Bayern faced RB Leipzig and won the Telekom Cup with a 3-1 victory. However, the match against their Bundesliga rival was also marred by concerns about several players.
Jamal Musiala, who collapsed on the field, was already able to resume individual training on Monday. Immediately after the game, there was a cautious all-clear regarding his condition.
But Konrad Laimer and Minjae Kim also had to leave the field earlier than planned. Laimer had taken a blow early in the game; his foot was swollen, and he needed support. He was visibly limping as he left the field.
Kim grabbed his thigh before being substituted and sat down on the field, but seemed to be more or less okay.

In the meantime, there is now much more clarity regarding the injured players. At FC Bayern’s Allianz Team Day—an event that includes both a team presentation and an open practice—Kim, for example, was already back in full swing.
In his case, the issue over the weekend was apparently just a strain. The South Korean trained with the team and will not be sidelined. Musiala was absent from the Team Day, but that was exactly as planned, as he was prescribed a bit of rest following his return to the training field.
Laimer did appear at the team presentation but was absent from team training afterward. According to the Abendzeitung, however, the Austrian does not have a serious injury. It is not yet clear how long he will be sidelined, though. Tuesday’s friendly against Heidenheim will most likely take place without Laimer. The coming days will reveal how things look for Saturday’s Super Cup match against BVB.
The player himself later confirmed this during the Allianz Team Day. “Everything’s fine; I took a knock—but it’s no big deal. It won’t keep me out for long; I should be back in action soon.”
