FC Bayern has made a comeback with an impressive show of strength. After two consecutive draws, the German record champions celebrated a decisive 6-1 home victory over RB Leipzig on Saturday night. The way Vincent Kompany’s team performed, in particular, generated a lot of excitement. Left back Nathaniel Brown revealed after the game what mindset the Munich team had going into the top Bundesliga matchup.
Bayern dominated the match from the start, putting Leipzig under pressure early on and creating numerous scoring chances.
Unlike in recent matches, the record champions capitalized on their opportunities consistently. Munich already led 3–0 at halftime before adding three more goals after the break.
“Once we get rolling, we’re hard to stop.”
After the final whistle, Brown told Sky he was extremely pleased with his team’s performance. “We dictated the game from the start and capitalized on our chances right away. I think that was the problem recently—we just weren’t putting them away,” explained the national team player.
It was precisely this failure to convert chances that had caused Bayern problems in their last two games.
Against Leipzig, however, there was no sign of that. “We did things differently today. Once we get rolling, we’re hard to stop,” Brown emphasized confidently.
The left back himself played a key role in the decisive victory. With a precise pass, he set up Harry Kane’s goal to make it 5-0.
Brown also showed improvement defensively, allowing very little against Leipzig’s offense.
Brown reveals: Bayern stars were really angry

The significant improvement in performance didn’t come out of nowhere. After the recent setbacks, the mood within the team was apparently tense.
In both the 2-2 draw against Augsburg and the 3-3 tie against Viking Stavanger, Bayern had failed to secure a win despite numerous scoring chances.
When asked whether the team had gone into the Leipzig game with a particular sense of determination as a result, Brown answered unequivocally. “We were frustrated recently. That’s clear. We wanted to win, and we failed to do so twice. That’s why today’s game was so important.”
With this lopsided victory, the record champions not only sent a clear message to their Bundesliga rivals but also took over the top spot in the standings.
However, there isn’t much time to celebrate. As early as next Wednesday, FC Bayern will host Arsenal in the Champions League. After that, an away game against SC Freiburg awaits in the Bundesliga.
