Luka Vuskovic is one of the most exciting defensive talents in Europe – and continues to be linked with FC Bayern. Now the Croatian himself has commented on the rumors
The future of Luka Vuskovic remains one of the most exciting topics on the European transfer market. The 19-year-old central defender played an outstanding season at Hamburger SV, attracting the interest of numerous top clubs
FC Bayern have also been linked with the Croatian defensive gem for months, and now Vuskovic himself has commented on the speculation in more detail for the first time
„Of course it’s nice that my name is being linked with such clubs,“ explained the defender in an interview with Sport BILD
At the same time, however, the Croatian did not want to go too far out on a limb: „I don’t know if everything that is written about me and other clubs is correct. I’m a Tottenham player. We’ll see what happens in the summer.“
Bayern continue to monitor the situation
There have already been reports in recent months that FC Bayern are keeping a close eye on the central defender’s development, with Borussia Dortmund and FC Barcelona also reportedly showing great interest in the HSV loanee
Particularly exciting from Bayern’s point of view: Munich were already intensively involved with Vuskovic in 2023, although the transfer fee demanded at the time was considered too high
In the meantime, however, his market value has exploded: according to Transfermarkt.de, the Croatian is now valued at around €60 million
However, Vuskovic himself is trying to ignore the hype surrounding him. „These sums don’t matter to me,“ he emphasized: „The decisive factor for me is that my sporting performance has improved during this time.“
Vuskovic would like to stay in Hamburg
Despite interest from big clubs, the defender still seems to be emotionally attached to HSV
„I’m torn,“ explained Vuskovic. „On the one hand, I’m happy because a lot of what was agreed with Tottenham has worked out in Hamburg. But I’m also sad because I would very much like to stay here.“

Particularly noteworthy: The Croatian still dreams of playing for HSV together with his brother Mario: „Because it is well known that it is my wish to play for HSV with my brother Mario.“
However, Vuskovic also made it clear that Tottenham will decide his future, as the central defender still has a contract with Spurs until 2030
„But of course, if Tottenham were to sign me, that would be a very good situation for me,“ explained the 19-year-old
One thing is crucial for him above all: „The most important thing for my development is that I play regularly.“
