A surprising change of coach is imminent at FC Bayern, and an ex-professional could soon take over
There are signs of a change on the FC Bayern coaching bench, with Sky reporting that Holger Seitz will step down as head coach of the second team for the coming season
The decision is therefore closely linked to the structural changes at the campus. Michael Wiesinger, who comes from 1. FC Nürnberg, will officially take up his post on 1 May – and he is apparently already actively involved in the planning
According to the report, Wiesinger wants to fill several coaching positions at FC Bayern, with a particular focus on the second team from the regional league, but changes could also follow in other youth teams, such as the U19s
Seitz, who has developed numerous talented players in recent years, will remain at the club, however, as he is set to take on another role at the campus
In his previous role, the 51-year-old played a key role in developing players such as Josip Stanisic and Aleksandar Pavlovic. Angelo Stiller, who now plays for VfB Stuttgart and has made it into the German national team, was also developed under Seitz
Ex-professional as new coach?
It is already clear that the position at Bayern II will be reassigned and the search for a successor is in full swing

Those responsible are apparently pursuing a clear idea. If everything goes according to plan, a former professional will take over the coaching job. However, no specific names are being traded so far
The coming weeks are likely to show which direction FC Bayern will take in this important position. One thing is certain: major changes are imminent at the German record champions‘ campus.
