Bayern travelled to the Spanish capital on Tuesday. Munich need a win against Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu tomorrow evening (9pm, live on DAZN) to secure their place in the Champions League final. According to the latest reports, Thomas Tuchel could change his starting eleven in several positions.

Bayern completed their final training session at Säbener Straße before travelling to Madrid. While the assembled journalists were able to follow the first 15 minutes of the session, the opaque curtains were drawn at the training ground afterwards.

As usual before such important matches, Thomas Tuchel attaches great importance to ensuring that his tactical and personnel considerations are not made public. Nevertheless, BILD has been able to catch some interesting information.

Goretzka and Müller threatened with the substitutes‘ bench

According to the newspaper, Tuchel is planning a surprise starting XI against Real. In the final game, Aleksander Pavlovic was allowed to play alongside Konrad Laimer in the senior squad. This is a clear indication that the youngster could be preferred to Leon Goretzka in midfield.

It will be interesting to see whether Tuchel actually favours the young Pavlovic over Goretzka. The 20-year-old has only made two appearances in the Champions League. By comparison, Goretzka has made 51 appearances in the top flight and therefore has significantly more experience in such top matches.

According to BILD, there could also be changes in the offence. Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané were in the senior squad. This means that Thomas Müller will once again have to take a place on the substitutes‘ bench. The 34-year-old was allowed to play from the start in the first leg in Munich a week ago.

In defence, Matthijs de Ligt will make his comeback after recovering from knee problems. The Dutchman will play alongside Eric Dier in the centre of defence.
