Ex-Bayern youngster Joshua Zirkzee is shining in Serie A this season, so it’s no wonder that the 22-year-old is on the radar of a number of top clubs, including AC Milan. If a transfer of the Dutchman were to materialise, Bayern in particular could really benefit.

As the Gazzetta dello Sport reports, there is agood chance that Joshua Zirkzee will continue to cause a sensation in the coming season. However, the 22-year-old could then be playing for AC Milan instead of FC Bologna. According to the report, Zirkzee is at the top of Milan’s list. The Rossoneri are prepared to transfer up to €50 million to Bologna to sign Zirkzee next summer. In addition, Alexis Saelemaekers would also be transferred to the current Serie A fourth-placed side. The Belgian is currently on loan from Milan to Bologna and could become part of the Zirkzee deal. In this case, the 24-year-old would remain with Bologna on a free transfer.

Bayern could receive up to 25 million euros for Zirkzee

Bayern would be in for a real windfall in the event of a transfer. This is due to a 50 per cent sell-on clause, which Munich secured in 2022 when they sold Zirkzee. At the same time, this clause also means that the German record champions could sign the young striker themselves at a bargain price. However, the Gazzetta dello Sport does not expect the striker to return, as the centre-forward position in Munich is already occupied by Harry Kane.

Joshua Zirkzee, who was transferred from Munich to Bologna in 2022, has developed into a real high-calibre player this season. With ten goals and four assists, the Dutchman has made a significant contribution to Bologna’s surprising Champions League place. For this reason, the 22-year-old is likely to be one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming summer transfer window.
