FC Bayern has been repeatedly linked with players from FC Barcelona in recent years. According to current media reports, the Munich club has now set its sights on another Barça star in the form of Ansu Fati.
Frenkie der Jong, Pedri and most recently Gavi. The list of Barça players who are allegedly on the radar at FC Bayern is long. As the Spanish „Mundo Deportivo“ reports, Ansu Fati has now joined them.
According to the paper, the Munich team is dealing with the 20-year-old offensive all-rounder. Fati is currently not beyond a reserve role under Xavi Hernandez and has only been in the starting eleven seven times out of the 19 league games so far. Accordingly, Bayern could use the player’s dissatisfaction to lure him to Munich.
Nagelsmann is a fan of Fati
As the „Mundo Deportivo“ has reportedly learned, FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann in particular is a big fan of the Spanish international.
However, the financial conditions of a possible transfer clearly speak against a move to the German record champion. Fati is still contractually bound to Barcelona until 2027. His current market value is estimated at 50 million euros. According to reports, however, he has an exit clause for the crazy sum of 1 billion euros.
From a sporting point of view, a transfer would also make absolutely no sense from Bayern’s point of view. Fati can basically play all positions in the offense, but is primarily used on the left wing. With Sadio Mané and Kingsley Coman, Bayern is already well-staffed on the left side.
