FC Bayern is on the lookout for promising young players on the international transfer market. Eduardo Pape has now caught the Munich club’s attention. The record champions are reportedly keeping an eye on the 17-year-old Brazilian.
According to the tz, FC Bayern is taking an interest in Eduardo Pape. A Bayern scout is said to have already watched the 17-year-old at the UEFA Friendship Cup in Nyon. The U18 tournament was held from September 24 to October 3. Pape participated with the Brazilian national team, which finished in third place after a 2-0 victory over Colombia.
The youngster is under contract with Brazilian first-division club Cruzeiro and plays in central midfield. His strengths include, in particular, his understanding of the game, his vision, and his composure on the ball. At the U17 South American Championship in Paraguay in the spring of 2026, he also drew attention for his goal-scoring ability and secured the award for the tournament’s top scorer.

Pape’s former youth coach, Mairon César, particularly highlights the Brazilian’s game intelligence: “Pape isn’t the strongest or fastest player on the team, but his game intelligence sets him apart from everyone else. He’s always one second ahead of his opponents. He’s an exceptional talent with lightning-fast thinking.”
His playing style reminds observers of former Spanish national team player Sergio Busquets, who enjoyed great success at FC Barcelona. The British newspaper The Guardian ranks Pape among the 60 greatest young talents worldwide born in 2009.

However, FC Bayern is not the only club showing interest in the midfielder. According to the report, Chelsea FC, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and AS Monaco are also said to be interested. Cruzeiro is reportedly seeking a transfer fee of at least 40 million euros for its talent.
The fact that a Munich scout has already been watching Pape underscores the record champion’s interest. However, this does not confirm a concrete offer or advanced negotiations. Given the competition and the rumored transfer fee, a potential signing is unlikely to be a sure thing anyway.
For Bayern, Pape could be an investment in the future. For now, however, it remains to be seen whether the monitoring of this Brazilian midfield gem will actually lead to concrete transfer efforts.
