In terms of commercial revenue, the German record champions rank fourth – behind Manchester City, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Bayern’s strength is particularly evident in the business with fan merchandise and supplier contracts. The demand for jerseys and merchandising products ensures that Bayern is one of the most successful clubs in Europe. The club’s brand has long since spread far beyond the Bundesliga – supported by international stars and a fan base that has grown globally.

Bayern lagging behind Premier League clubs in TV revenue
The situation is different when it comes to TV revenue, with Munich only ranking 19th according to UEFA. Compared to the financially strong leagues in England or Spain, this figure is significantly lower, which underlines the different distribution of revenue sources in European top-flight soccer.
The figures thus paint a clear picture: while other clubs benefit greatly from TV money, FC Bayern relies heavily on merchandising and commercial partnerships and is also one of Europe’s absolute elite in this area.
