The offense is rolling, the Bundesliga can only watch. In Munich, the goal machine is running at full speed – with three top stars in the front line.
What FC Bayern are currently delivering in the league is pure attacking passion. After the 15th matchday, Munich have by far the most dangerous attack and three of their players dominate the goalscoring charts. Harry Kane leads the way with 19 goals, but new signing Luis Diaz (8 goals) and Michael Olise (7 goals) have also shot themselves into the top five in the league.
English superstar Kane in particular is scoring at will and continues to write Bundesliga history. The late goal in the 4-0 win at Heidenheim was not only Kane’s 19th goal of the season, but also a historic milestone: the 32-year-old needed just 78 games to reach 100 direct goals in the Bundesliga. This was well below Arjen Robben’s previous record, with the Dutchman needing 119 games to achieve the same figure. No player has reached this threshold more quickly since detailed data recording began in the 2004/05 season.

But Kane is not the only reason for Bayern’s attacking power. Luis Diaz is also delivering in his first Bundesliga season – with eight goals and six assists. The Colombian impresses not only with his efficiency, but also with his understanding of the game and his defensive work. Similar to Kane, Diaz also shines with his ability to fit into the collective and create gaps for teammates.
Another difference-maker is Michael Olise. The Frenchman has long since established himself as an integral part of Munich’s game since his transfer. Seven goals and eight assists speak for themselves – Olise is a consistent performer and pace-setter in attack. This puts him in fifth place in the goalscorer rankings. He already impressed last season with 12 goals and 18 assists in the Bundesliga.
What these three players have in common is that they are not only scorers, but also shape Munich’s attack with their creativity, intelligence and timing, while also working consistently in defense.
With this firepower, FC Bayern is currently destroying everything in its path. And in view of the goals for the second half of the season, one thing seems clear: the last word in this record chase is far from spoken.
