FC Bayern appears to be on the verge of its next transfer. A young prospect is leaving the academy and is reportedly set to join VfL Wolfsburg.
While FC Bayern is strategically strengthening its professional squad this summer, plans are also underway in the youth academy. And now, the next departure appears to be on the horizon.
According to Sky, attacking talent Leeron Danioko is transferring to VfL Wolfsburg. The Lower Saxony club is said to have convinced the 17-year-old with a clear plan for his athletic development and concrete prospects on his path to professional soccer.
With Danioko, the Bundesliga relegation team gains a versatile attacking player who is most comfortable in the number 10 position but can also be deployed in several other attacking roles.
Seven years at the Bayern Campus
Danioko moved from TSV 1860 Munich to the Bayern Campus back in 2019 and has since progressed through all the youth teams of the record-holding champions.
Thanks to his performances, the right-footed player also earned a spot on the German U17 national team, for which he has played five international matches to date.

Now, the attacking player wants to take the next step in his career in Wolfsburg and earn a spot on the professional team there.
Bayern continues to push forward with its squad overhaul
With Danioko’s departure, the list of summer departures at FC Bayern would grow even longer. The transfers of Daniel Peretz to Southampton FC and Jonah Kusi-Asare to Fulham FC have already been finalized. In addition, Maurice Krattenmacher was loaned to SV Elversberg.
Furthermore, Leon Goretzka and Raphaël Guerreiro left the record champions after their contracts expired. Nicolas Jackson’s loan spell also came to an end this summer.
At VfL Wolfsburg, Danioko now has the opportunity to prove himself in professional soccer with a clear athletic outlook and take the next step in his development.
