Report: PSG and Man United enter the race to sign Robert Lewandowski

So far, FC Barcelona has been the main favorite to sign Robert Lewandowski. The 33-year-old is also keen to move to Spain. According to current reports, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have now entered the race to sign the Polish striker.

Despite the claims that Bayern want to keep Lewandowski, the player himself is pushing for a move to FC Barcelona and is said to have already agreed on a 3-year contract with the Catalans. The problem however remains that Barcelona is financially not in good condition and are said not to afford the striker.

According to reports from France and England, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are now entering the race.

The French “L’Equipe”. reports that the new PSG sports director Luis Campos has put Lewandowski at the top of his wish list. Campos is keen to lure the Polish striker to Paris in the summer to form a dream attack alongside Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

The Parisiens are closely monitoring the current development around Lewandowski. One thing is clear: Paris is financially much more powerful than FC Barcelona. According to rumors, Bayern are asking for a transfer fee of 40 million euros. A sum that shouldn’t be a real problem for PSG.

According to ‚Daily Star‘, Manchester United could also enter the competition for Lewandowski and try to hijack the deal.

For a relatively small price, Lewandowski would be a real bargain for the other clubs. At the moment, Lewandowski is leaning towards a move to Barcelona, but the competition could definitely get fiercer if more clubs jump in. Bayern Munich have not rejected nor accepted Barcelona’s first offer so far.

Whether they are waiting to sign a replacement before making a move, or waiting for another club to step in and meet their demands, is an open question.
