Things are getting serious regarding the transfer deal with Robert Lewandowski. As it’s been reported recently, Barcelona have made their first official bid!

In an interview with the „Welt am Sonntag“ on Saturday, Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn once again pointed out that the Polish striker will fulfill his contract expiring in 2023.

Barcelona, on the other hand, are still working on signing the FIFA World Player of the Year. Coach Xavi Hernandez publicly confirmed for the first time today that they want to sign the goalscorer. The 42-year-old confirmed negotiations with the player’s entourage. Apparently, there has also been an official bid!

Talks between Bayern and Barcelona have started

As reported by Polish sports journalist Tomasz Włodarczyk , Barça have made a first official offer for the 33-year-old attacker. The exact amount was not given, but the offer is said to be in „several tens of millions of euros“. Barcelona’s insider Toni Juanmarti from the Spanish „Sport“ has also confirmed the initial offer from the Spaniards. From the German media, however, it’s heard that the offer from Barcelona was 30 million euro.

According to Włodarczyk, Bayern are still sticking to their veto and doesn’t want to let Lewandowski go in the summer. Apparently, the offer was rejected. On the other hand, Barcelona doesn’t want to give up and will continue to try everything to get their dream player.

The Pole himself is pushing for an early departure in the summer and after the last Bundesliga game against VfL Wolfsburg made it clear that he hopes that all sides will find a proper solution.
