FC Bayern is apparently on the lookout for promising talent for its offense. A young German striker has caught the eye of the record-holding champions. According to the British website TEAMtalk, the Munich club is taking a close look at Paris Brunner of AS Monaco. The 20-year-old has attracted the interest of numerous top European clubs with his strong performances this season.
Brunner is currently one of the most exciting young German attacking talents. The U-21 national team player has made a name for himself at Monaco with an impressive scoring rate. In eight starts, he has already scored six goals.
This development has not gone unnoticed by Bayern’s management. According to the report, the Munich club is closely monitoring the forward and is said to be impressed by his progress.
However, the German record champions are by no means alone in their pursuit of Brunner.
Bayern is competing with Arsenal, Barcelona, and PSG
In addition to FC Bayern, FC Arsenal, FC Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be showing great interest in the 20-year-old. Likewise, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea FC have apparently already sent scouts to watch the striker’s games.
This could lead to a high-stakes transfer battle for the talented German striker in the coming months.
Brunner joined AS Monaco in August 2024 and remains under contract there through the summer of 2028. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 15 million euros.
The forward has also already made a name for himself on the international stage. He has scored two goals in three appearances for the German U21 national team.
Monaco could sell Brunner as early as this winter

Of particular interest to FC Bayern is AS Monaco’s financial situation. According to TEAMtalk, the French first-division club is under financial pressure. After the club reportedly failed to meet its projected transfer revenue targets last summer, further player sales may become necessary this coming winter.
Brunner could also be affected by this. According to the report, a transfer scenario is even conceivable in which Monaco sells the forward as early as January but then keeps him on loan until the end of the season.
Such an arrangement would certainly be of interest to Bayern. It would allow the Munich club to secure the services of a highly sought-after talent early on without having to immediately create an additional roster spot.
Whether the record champions will actually take concrete steps toward signing him, however, remains to be seen.
So far, there has only been talk of “close monitoring.” Given the stiff competition, however, FC Bayern likely won’t have unlimited time if they truly want to sign Brunner.
