Michael Olise remains a constant topic of discussion in the transfer market. Real Madrid is reportedly very keen on the French player—but there appears to be a clear agreement between FC Bayern and Los Blancos.
The situation is clear: The 24-year-old has a contract at Säbener Straße through 2029, and there is no buyout clause. The German record champions have emphasized on multiple occasions in recent weeks that they are firmly counting on the attacking player. Nevertheless, speculation about his future continues unabated—fueled by ongoing interest from Madrid.
The latest rumors were sparked by transfer reporter Ekrem Konur. According to him, Real plans to make a serious bid with a world-record offer: approximately 222 million euros in fixed transfer fees plus about 38.5 million euros in potential bonuses.
The total amount could thus come to just under 260 million euros.
Is an Olise move this summer out of the question?
BILD’s head of soccer, Christian Falk, has now clarified the situation on the “Bayern Insider” podcast. He emphasized that a transfer during the current window is practically out of the question. “There’s no chance that Michael Olise will move during the current transfer window. The club has made this clear to the player,” said Falk: “The French national team player will remain with FC Bayern beyond the summer. Maybe FC Bayern will win the Champions League next season, and Olise will then be up for a new experience. You never know! But for now, he’s staying.”
Particularly noteworthy: There is reportedly a concrete agreement between the two clubs. “I’d like to emphasize once again that the two clubs have a very close relationship. They’ve agreed that nothing will happen with Olise this summer,” Falk explained: “Should anything come up in the future, Florentino Pérez has already promised Herbert Hainer that he’ll call him first before taking any action with the player and his advisors.”
Real issued an official statement
The Spanish record champions had already made their position equally clear back in June. In an official statement, the club stated that “there has been no contact whatsoever—neither direct nor indirect—with the player in question, his representatives, or those close to him.” They also emphasized their “excellent institutional relations with FC Bayern Munich.”
While Olise is on track to win the 2026 World Cup with France, his contract situation continues to point toward him staying in Munich. With no release clause, a contract running through 2029, and an agreement between the clubs’ management, everything currently points to the Frenchman continuing to play in a Bayern jersey beyond this summer.
