It goes without saying that such success cannot be planned, but there are several factors that play into Munich’s hands at this crucial stage of the season
Rotation as a decisive advantage
A key trump card lies in the Bundesliga. By winning the title early, coach Vincent Kompany can use the remaining league games to rotate and manage the workload
This advantage should not be underestimated, especially in a phase in which every game in the cup and Champions League is decisive for success or failure. Players such as Harry Kane, Luis Díaz and Michael Olise can be used in measured doses without losing their rhythm. Of course, the path to the treble remains challenging, with PSG as an equal opponent and the cup final also requiring maximum concentration
However, the combination of clever load management, high squad quality and a clear system of play ensures that Bayern can go into the decisive weeks with a broad chest
They have yet to hit the big time – but the conditions have rarely been as promising as they are this season.
