Jonas Urbig: Deputised for number 1 Neuer. Had no problem with El Khanouss‘ central finish. Urbig was powerless when Führich made it 0-1. The Bayern keeper then caught a harmless long-range shot from Führich. In the second half, Urbig defused a dangerous chance from El Khanouss with a strong foot save. That was good! Urbig was powerless with Chema’s Sunday shot to make it 4-2. Grade: 2
Josip Stanisic: Was on a foray forward down his side at 0-1, Guerreiro didn’t protect him well. Towards the end of the game, the Croatian international missed a shooting chance rather carelessly. Stanisic played well overall as a right-back, but couldn’t exert much pressure going forward. Grade: 3
Minjae Kim: Had a header chance at the start of the game, but failed to get any pressure behind the ball and did not put Nübel under any serious pressure. Defensively, Kim had everything under control and did not make any mistakes. Mark: 3
Hiroki Ito: Caught the offside at 0:1 by Führich. Set up the 4:1 by Kane at the beginning of the second half with his cross. Otherwise Ito showed a decent game without any major highlights. Grade: 3
Alphonso Davies: Started at left-back and scored to make it 3-1 – his shot from outside the box was deflected by Chabot and ended up in the corner. Davies was very attentive and ran well. A good game from the Canadian until he was substituted at half-time. Grade: 2
Joshua Kimmich: Tried to outwit Nübel with a long-range shot in the first half, but the ball went over the goal. Kimmich took another dangerous shot in the second half and just missed the goal. Otherwise, Kimmich played a solid game. Grade: 3
Leon Goretzka: Was very inconspicuous in the first half. At the start of the second half, Goretzka got on the end of Ito’s cross, but Nübel was able to hold on – but Kane tucked away the rebound to make it 4-1. Shortly afterwards, he failed to beat Nübel with a falling shot. In the second half, Goretzka was more active and repeatedly got involved in the attack. Grade: 3
Raphael Guerreiro: Surprisingly played on the right side of midfield. Before the 0-1, he let the goalscorer Führich pass too easily behind him. Guerreiro then scored the equalizer after great preparatory work by Musiala. Before Jackson made it 2-1, Guerreiro attentively won the ball and sent the preparer Diaz on his way with a clever through pass. Guerreiro had a lot of contact with the ball and played several clever passes. Good game! Grade: 2
Jamal Musiala: Got in a shot in the first half after a fine ball reception, but was blocked by Chabot and the ball went over. Musiala set up the 1:1 by Guerreiro after a strong dribble. After the next dribble through the VfB penalty area, Musiala only hit the outside of the net. The national player repeatedly caused a stir and was a real asset. He was substituted at the break. Grade: 2
Luis Diaz: Unselfishly set up Jackson’s 2:1 after a counter-attack. Diaz also provided the assist for Davies for the 3:1 with a short pass in the penalty area. Diaz was always dangerous and worked hard. Strong performance from the Colombian. Grade: 2
Nicolas Jackson: Deputized for Kane in the center of the attack because the Englishman was allowed to rest. Jackson coolly slotted home to make it 2-1 after good work from Diaz. Even after Kane’s substitution, Jackson remained on the pitch and played a pleasing part in the game. Grade: 2

Michael Olise (45th for Diaz): Shot quite unchallenged with his left foot next to the goal after a nice Bayern attack. Then Olise circled a ball right on the cross corner, but Mittelstädt was still able to clear with his head. Shortly before the final whistle, Olise failed again from close range against VfB keeper Nübel. mark: 3
Harry Kane (45 for Musiala): Scored from close range shortly after coming on to make it 4-1 after Nübel had saved a shot from Goretzka. Kept dropping far back and worked hard. Mark: 2
Konrad Laimer (62nd for Davies): Took over the left-back position and didn’t let anything get in the way. 3
Bara Sapoko Ndiaye (76 for Guerreiro): Came on too late to score
