Even though the Bundesliga top match against VfB Stuttgart is coming up on Saturday, FC Bayern’s full focus is on the semi-final second leg against Real Madrid. According to the latest reports, Thomas Tuchel will crank up the rotation machine in the southern clash and rest numerous stars.
After the first leg is before the second leg. Even though Bayern have to face VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga next weekend, all eyes in Munich are on the second Champions League clash against Real Madrid.
In the Bundesliga, the team secured qualification for the CL last weekend. There is no longer much to gain for Joshua Kimmich & Co. Thomas Tuchel also seems to see it that way and wants to rest his personnel in the southern clash against Stuttgart, as reported by kicker.
Sané and Musiala get a break
According to kicker, Leroy Sané and Jamal Musiala will not play against Stuttgart on Saturday. The two attacking players will be given a break. Sané is still struggling with an inflammation of the pubic bone and Musiala is also not 100 per cent fit and was only able to play with painkillers in the first leg against Real. Tuchel is willing to take a risk with both of them.
There are also indications that Serge Gnabry will not play against VfB. He is expected to improve his fitness through intensive training sessions. The DFB star was recently ruled out with a torn muscle fibre. According to kicker, Gnabry is a starting eleven candidate for the second leg in Madrid.
