Ahead of the second leg against Arsenal in the Champions League, FC Bayern goalscorer Harry Kane emphasises the importance of the game. The team has „a lot planned“ for the clash with the Londoners.
Bayern’s Harry Kane is fired up for the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal FC. At the pre-match press conference, however, the Englishman first spoke about the Bundesliga title he missed out on: „It was a disappointing season for us in the league. Congratulations to Leverkusen for what they achieved. We didn’t reach our level.“
On the clash with Arsenal at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday after the 2-2 draw in the first leg, Kane said: „I want to help the team, whether it’s in the Champions League or in the league. We have a great opportunity tomorrow here in our arena. We want to achieve something big. Personally, I want to help the team and score goals.“
Kane is looking forward to an „excellent atmosphere in the stadium“
Looking ahead to the last chance to win a title this season, the 30-year-old explained: „We want to keep this season alive.“
Commenting on the first leg in London, Kane said: „We defended very well and made it difficult for them to create chances. Tomorrow we play in front of our own fans. With the energy of our fans, we’ll also play even better in possession. We want to create chances, but we also know that we’re in danger. We want to learn the lessons from the first leg.“
Kane believes Bayern will progress in the top flight: „We have a lot of experience with players who have already played big games. We’ve been better in the Champions League this season than in the Bundesliga. It’s time to raise our level. It will be a fantastic atmosphere in the arena. We have great belief in ourselves that we can do it tomorrow,“ said the England captain.
He is also looking forward to the European Cup atmosphere in the Allianz Arena: „It will be an excellent atmosphere in the stadium. We’ve got a lot planned for the game.“
Thank you for your Time and your Money.“
@Ben…
Dann müsste man sagen: Machs nochmal, Thomas!
