FC Bayern wants to sign Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt and is still on the verge of closing a deal. But competition still looms.
That’s because Brown is also in demand in England. And as long as FC Bayern hasn’t reached a final agreement with the Hessian club, nothing is 100% certain yet.
Although the player wants to move to Munich and has generally already reached an agreement with Bayern, the payment structure still needs to be worked out between FCB and Eintracht.
The total package is reportedly worth 55 million euros, and the main point of discussion is how much money the record champions will transfer to the Hessian club this summer. According to reports, Frankfurt wants to receive a large portion of the transfer fee immediately.
Residual risk remains with Brown
English media outlets such as TEAMTalk do not yet consider the deal for Bayern to be completely finalized. Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly in talks, but both are also considering alternatives. One of them is Lewis Hall of Newcastle United.

FC Bayern doesn’t need to worry too much just yet, as this will only become a serious issue if a deal between Bayern and Eintracht were to fall through completely, but the English clubs are ready just in case.
Meanwhile, Arsenal appears to have largely withdrawn from the race. According to The Athletic, the Gunners believe that Brown’s move to Bayern Munich is now unstoppable. As a result, the North London club is reportedly already exploring other options.
In any case, Bayern is prepared should a full agreement with Frankfurt be reached in the near future. Brown’s medical exam could take place directly in the U.S. and would not interfere with the World Cup schedule.
