VfB Stuttgart hero Sasa Kalajdzic is considered a possible successor for Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich. But the 24-year-old Austrian is not only on the wishlist of the Bavarians. French club Paris Saint-Germain are also eyeing the forward.

German tabloid ‚Tageszeitung‘ reports that Bayern are intensifying their efforts to sign Kalajdzic. The first meeting between Hasan Salihamidzic and the entourage of the Austrian will take place this week. According to the newspaper, the Stuttgart man is at the top of Bayern’s wish list. Coach Julian Nagelsmann is also convinced of the qualities of the striker and is open to a transfer.

But Bayern are not the only interested party.

With the move of Erling Haaland to Manchester City almost deal done and Robert Lewandowski’s confirmed departure, it is going to be a ‚carousel‘ of strikers moving from one club to another.

In addition to Bayern and Borussia Dortmund, there are numerous interested parties from abroad, including Newcastle United and Benfica Lisbon. German magazine ‚kicker‘ reports on their Monday issue that Paris St. Germain are also now interested in the Austrian international. PSG are desperately looking for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is close to leaving.

Although the Swabian club has made it clear that the Austrian is not for sale, given the number of interested parties, it’s almost impossible to keep the striker at the club, whose contract expires in 2023. Stuttgart simply cannot allow a free transfer in 2023.

According to reports, the transfer fee varies from 20 to 25 million euros. Transfermarkt estimates Kalajdzic’s current value at 22 million euros. This sum might not pose a serious problem for any of the listed clubs. In terms of salary, however, Newcastle and PSG might have a clear advantage.
