Leon Goretzka: „We utilised criticism for our preparation“

After a good performance, Leon Goretzka had his word on Bayern performance tonight.

„We rightly received criticism during the international break. We used it to prepare for this and focused on our game again. Our aim is to perform on a regular basis. We’re still extremely upset about the games before that.“

Bayern Munich will play against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, and Leon Goretzka already expects a lot from his team:

“ You can except a highly motivated Bayern on the weekend. We will be focused more than in any other game this season and our aim is to perform good on regular basis and we are really upset for some games before this one.“

With the maximum amount of points in the first 3 Champions League matchdays, the team is aware of how good and crucial this is.

 „9 points from three games and a good goal difference: we are on a good way. We were disciplined today. We were well prepared for the opponent and that’s where most of the goals came from“

Goretzka returned to the team after he was absent in the Nations League games for Germany when both he and Manuel Neuer received positive Covid tests and were in 5 day quarantine preparing for the upcoming club fixtures. He was also injured in the first month and a half of this season and he looks ready to finally be a regular starter this season.
