Nagelsmann speaks on the criticism he has received after the Augsburg’s match
FC Bayern will meet Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Friday at 20:30 CEST at the Allianz Arena. Prior to that, Bayern lost their last match before the international break 1-0 against FC Augsburg.
Will Bayern sack Julian Nagelsmann if they lose against Bayer Leverkusen? The answer is most likely no. The board has often made it clear that they are counting on Julian Nagelsmann for the time being despite the recent form.
Ahead of the pre-match conference on Thursday, Nagelsmann has spoken about the criticism he has received for the first time since the loss against Augsburg: „It would be a lie to say that these weeks have not left me completely cold“, said Nagelsmann
„But you have to feel personal responsibility at Bayern, even if your name has been mentioned for weeks, for the things you are responsible“
The 35 years old confirmed that there will not be changes to everything now that the international break has ended: „We don’t have to change everything. We converted our chances very well in the first few games, but that’s no longer the case. If we had scored the goals, we would have gotten the points. To be a great team you have to see how well you do with little training“
But nevertheless, Nagelsmann used the international break to analyze everything and every match: „It’s always important to question yourself. I watched all the games again and I analyzed a lot. […] We discussed things with the team. I am confident we will play a good game tomorrow“ said Nagelsmann.
