The FC Bayern team hierarchy has been confirmed for the 2022/23 season. As expected, Manuel Neuer retains the armband and Thomas Müller resumes his vice-captaincy, but with plenty of movement in and out of the squad, there have been changes further down the line
Joshua Kimmich replaces Robert Lewandowski as the 2nd vice-captain following his move to Barcelona. Although Lewy was important, he was a quiet individual in the dressing room and was often toxic and complained about others, and his captaincy was solely-based on his performances to keep him happy. As a vocal leader, Joshua Kimmich will assume a much higher role in the team, almost level with both Neuer and Müller, with his inclusiveness and determination to get the best out of everyone
The team council system has also been retained, with the three captains and Kingsley Coman keeping their seats. Leon Goretzka will occupy the 5th spot, with the 6th and final seat likely to be given to Sadio Mané following his transfer from Liverpool, although Matthijs de Ligt is a strong contender as the defensive leader. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry and Lucas Hernández are both involved as influential players, particularly Hernández with the French cohort including Benji Pavard and new arrival Mathys Tel
The squad players such as Marcel Sabitzer, Leroy Sané, Dayot Upamecano, who are more reserved, still have an opinion, as does Alphonso Davies, who is slightly lower due to his lack of experience. Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch are new arrivals and yet to fully settle in, although his bravery on the pitch is highly commended. Meanwhile, the younger talents are at the bottom of the hierarchy, including Bouna Sarr. Sven Ulreich has a fair opinion due to his time at the club, along with Jamal Musiala, seen as a future leader within the squad with his national teammates
