Following the transfer of Sadio Mane, Bayern Munich have now announced the departure of Marc Roca.
Roca’s move to Leeds United has already been hinted in recent days. The deal has now been official. The Spaniard successfully completed the medical check-up on Friday at Leeds and the club has announced the departure of the Spaniard.
The German record champions paid 9 million euros for the services of the midfielder in the autumn of 2020. After just 24 games for the club, the Spaniard is now leaving Bayern again.
The 25-year-old had major integrations problems in Munich. Despite a strong physical development, Julian Nagelsmann relied on other players in the center. In addition, Bayern signed a new midfielder this summer, Ryan Gravenberch.
FC Bayern will receive 12 million euros. This sum could increase to up to 17 million euros through bonus payments.
Hasan Salihamidzic has now commented on Roca’s departure: „Marc has a wonderful character, he is also a very professional, very good football player.
Marc came to us and told us that he wanted to get more playing time. We have therefore agreed to a transfer to Leeds United. His qualities are undisputed. We wish him every success on his further path.”
