FC Bayern always keeps its eyes open and monitors the transfer market so it’s prepared for anything. Now there are new indications that the record champion has an AS Monaco star on its radar.
The player in question is reportedly Lamine Camara. The midfielder was on the verge of a move to England this past summer, but the transfer ultimately fell through. Clubs like Liverpool FC and Chelsea have him on their radar.
The fact that FC Bayern is keeping an eye on the player is nothing new. The record champions were already linked to the Senegalese player several months ago.
Camara remains a candidate for Bayern
Now Ben Jacobs reports that Bayern remains among the teams keeping an eye on the dynamic midfielder. The aforementioned English clubs are also in the running and reportedly have the financial resources to sign the player, perhaps as early as this winter.

Both Chelsea and Liverpool FC are on the hunt for new options in central midfield. Camara certainly won’t come cheap; a transfer fee in the range of 60–80 million euros would be required to pry the Senegalese player away from Monaco.
For this reason, it’s questionable whether Bayern will really get seriously involved in the bidding war, especially since the midfield is well-stocked with Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlovic, and Tom Bischof. Behind them, promising young player Bara Sapoko Ndiaye is being developed.
While it’s not out of the question that the record champions might sign a potential successor to Kimmich in the coming years, it’s still too early for that at the moment. And so the timing simply seems off, as it’s assumed that Camara will make the move to a bigger league—at least by the summer of 2027—to take on new challenges.
