Nevertheless, the incident quickly sparked discussions on social media. In particular, the fact that Assomo is just 16 years old and is currently gaining his first experience in the professional squad has upset some fans.
“How can you yell at a 16-year-old like that?” asked one fan on X, while also directing harsh criticism at Stanisic.
Another fan was also harsh in his criticism of the defender: “Look at Stanisic, the way he’s going after Assomo,” he wrote, even describing Stanisic’s behavior as “unhealthy for the team.”
