FC Bayern has made decisive moves early on in the transfer market. With Ismael Saibari for the offense and Nathaniel Brown for the defense, the Munich club has signed its two top targets, investing a total of around 100 million euros in the process.
This raises the question of whether sporting director Max Eberl will announce further signings in the coming weeks.
No further signings are currently planned
According to information from Bayern insider and tz reporter Philipp Kessler, the current transfer planning is complete for now. “The idea was to spend about 50 million euros on an attacking player and 50 million euros on a defender, which was carried out with Saibari and Brown. So, FC Bayern is not currently planning any new signings,” Kessler emphasizes.
Accordingly, club officials believe the roster is currently well-positioned. The two new signings have strengthened precisely those positions where the greatest need for action existed.
Sales could create new opportunities
However, further transfers are not entirely ruled out. According to Kessler, the next steps depend largely on developments regarding player departures. FC Bayern would first like to sell players, thereby freeing up both salary budget and financial resources. “But if an interesting opportunity arises on the transfer market or a key star leaves the club, they will of course take action,” said the insider.
This leaves the door open for further signings. However, this would require either an attractive offer from the market or the unexpected departure of a key player.
For now, Max Eberl and Christoph Freund are primarily focused on streamlining the roster. Only then will it become clear whether FC Bayern will be active on the market again as the transfer window progresses.
