Daniel Peretz is likely to leave FC Bayern this summer for the Netherlands. A move to Eindhoven appears to be all but certain.
Daniel Peretz is apparently on the verge of a move to the top Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. According to several Israeli media outlets, the goalkeeper has left the Israeli national team’s hotel in Tallinn to travel to the Netherlands. However, Dutch media outlets such as the Eindhovens Dagblad and Voetbal International have dismissed this information as premature.
Nevertheless, there are growing indications that the 23-year-old will play in the Eredivisie in the future. The Bayern Munich goalkeeper had already been linked with a move to PSV in recent weeks. Peretz confirmed to media representatives on Friday that talks with Eindhoven are underway. An official confirmation of the transfer has not yet been issued, though it could come soon.
A loan deal is on the table
At PSV Eindhoven, Peretz is set to succeed Walter Benítez, who will be leaving the club for the upcoming season. A loan deal with a subsequent purchase option is currently on the table. Peretz wants—and needs—to get playing time in order to either prove himself once again at FC Bayern or take the next step in his career.
At Eindhoven, he would have exactly the platform he needs. Peretz would likely be the undisputed starting goalkeeper at a top club and could also gain further experience in the Champions League. Peretz still has a contract with the German record champions through the summer of 2028. The market value of the goalkeeper, who has made only three appearances in the Bundesliga so far, is estimated at around three million euros.
