Anthony Gordon remains a hot topic at FC Bayern, but now Manchester United, of all clubs, could make a move for the Newcastle star.
Manchester United are set to make a serious bid for Anthony Gordon. According to Fichajes, the Old Trafford club are planning to make an offer of around 100 million euros for the Newcastle United winger, which would send a clear signal to the competition.
The 25-year-old has developed into one of the most eye-catching attacking players in the Premier League with the Magpies. His dynamism, his qualities in one-on-one situations and his flexibility on both flanks make him interesting for several top clubs. In addition to United, Arsenal and Liverpool are also said to be keeping a close eye on the development of the England international.
Such a mega offer could become a problem for FC Bayern. It had previously been reported that Munich have Gordon at the top of their list and initially want to convince the player himself of a transfer. According to BILD, the German record champions are deliberately not yet looking for a direct route via Newcastle.
Will the Bayern transfer fail due to the transfer fee?

In the Bayern Insider podcast, BILD head of soccer Christian Falk explained: „I have heard that they are talking to each other. They are even talking about figures.“ According to this, Bayern’s idea is to convince Gordon to move to Munich at an early stage and thus strengthen their own position in possible negotiations.
Financially, however, the deal remains complicated. Newcastle are reportedly demanding more than €85 million, while FC Bayern have recently been seen at around €60 million. A United offer close to the €100 million mark would go well beyond that.
As things stand, Newcastle have no interest in parting with Gordon, but an offer of this magnitude could increase the pressure on the Magpies. This will not make the poker game any easier for Bayern, especially as their English rivals are clearly prepared to dig deep into their pockets.
