The former international sees Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha as a potential reinforcement for the German record champions. In an article for kicker, Hamann explained that a player like the BVB professional could be missing from the Munich squad at the moment
„What Munich are missing is a player like Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha,“ wrote Hamann. The 52-year-old even believes that FC Bayern could already be interested in the international. „I wouldn’t be surprised if the FCB bosses have already put out feelers for him,“ said the TV pundit
Nmecha moved from VfL Wolfsburg to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023 for around €30 million. In his first season, the 25-year-old struggled with injuries and needed time to establish himself in Dortmund. In the current season, the 1.90-metre midfielder has made 38 competitive appearances, in which he has scored five goals and provided three assists. Nmecha is now also back in the DFB team. BVB have long-term plans for the central midfielder, whose contract runs until 2028. Nevertheless, his development is also attracting the attention of other clubs. Hamann even goes one step further in his analysis and considers a possible role for Nmecha at FC Bayern. The TV pundit sees the pairing with Bayern youngster Aleksandar Pavlovic as an extremely interesting midfield duo

Whether FC Bayern actually have their eye on Nmecha has not yet been confirmed, but one thing is clear: the international has long since played his way back into the limelight with his performances in Dortmund.
