In just under an hour, the ball will be rolling at the Allianz Arena in Munich as FC Bayern take on Eintracht Frankfurt on matchday 23 of the Bundesliga. Vincent Kompany has made significant changes to his starting XI compared to the away win in Bremen and has brought in several fresh faces.
The Bayern coach has made a total of five changes to his starting line-up compared to the 2-0 win at Werder Bremen. Jonas Urbig replaces the injured Manuel Neuer in goal. The 39-year-old suffered a fibre tear in his left calf during the away game in Bremen and will not be available for the time being. In defence, Dayot Upamecano replaces Konrad Laimer in the back four. Together with Minjae Kim, he forms the centre-back duo, flanked by Josip Stanisic and Alphonso Davies.
Laimer will not be available at short notice against Frankfurt. The Austrian has already missed the final training session and is out through injury. According to FC Bayern, however, this is only a precautionary measure.
There is also a change in central midfield, with Aleksandar Pavlovic returning to the starting eleven to form a double-six with Joshua Kimmich. Leon Goretzka, who started in Bremen, will initially take a place on the bench. Despite the threat of yellow cards, Kompany is relying on his regulars: both Jonathan Tah and Joshua Kimmich have four cautions and are cautioned. They will not be rested ahead of the upcoming top match against BVB next weekend.

Olise and Musiala return to the starting eleven
Kompany also makes changes in attack. Michael Olise returns after serving his yellow card suspension and starts on the right wing. Jamal Musiala takes on the central role behind Harry Kane, while Luis Díaz occupies the left wing. For Lennart Karl and Serge Gnabry, this means the bench for the time being.
Frankfurt travel to Munich with personnel problems, as coach Albert Riera will be without Robin Koch, among others, and will reshuffle his team accordingly.
