Leipzig are planning for the long term, but the competition is fierce
Diomande is still under contract with RB Leipzig until 2030 – there is no exit clause. Nevertheless, there is huge interest in him. As Sky reports, other Premier League clubs are chasing the speedy attacker alongside FC Bayern and Liverpool. After just six months in the Bundesliga, Diomande already has seven goals and four assists. Impressive figures for a player who only moved to Leipzig from CD Leganés in the summer of 2025. The transfer fee at the time: around 20 million euros
Leipzig’s sporting director Marcel Schäfer recently made it clear that a premature departure is not part of the club’s plan. „Our aim is to have players with us for longer than one year, because otherwise you don’t get any consistency. Despite the long-term contract, there is speculation about a possible transfer fee. According to information from Sky Sports UK, Leipzig could be willing to talk for as little as 60 to 70 million euros in the summer of 2026. A framework that would be quite realistic for FC Bayern – provided they are convinced internally of the player’s potential. Diomande’s current market value is 45 million euros. If his development continues, a three-digit sum is even conceivable.
