Paul Wanner is regarded as one of the greatest talents at FC Bayern Campus. Following his loan spell at Elversberg last season, he is set to be loaned out again next season. There is interest from the Bundesliga in particular.
Bayern talent Paul Wanner was loaned out to Elversberg last season, where he really impressed. The 18-year-old not only impressed with his numbers (six goals, four assists). Wanner used his variability in attacking midfield to play a total of 28 games in Bundesliga 2, 70 per cent of which he started in the starting eleven.
The young player improved physically, in his defensive development and in his work against the ball. Several clubs have now become aware of Wanner due to his successful loan. According to Sky, FC Bayern have received a large number of enquiries about a deal with him.
Werder Bremen enter the Wanner poker
According to information from BILD, Werder Bremen have expressed their interest in Paul Wanner. However, the northern club does not just want to serve as a training base for the player without having the opportunity to sign him permanently. The Weser club are therefore hoping for a purchase option in a potential loan agreement with the Austrian-born player. It is questionable whether FC Bayern would consider such a deal.
Borussia Mönchengladbach is another Bundesliga club interested in loaning out Wanner. As reported by kicker, the foals have been closely following the development of the attacking player at SV Elversberg. But it is not only in the Bundesliga that the development of the Bayern jewel has been noticed. According to Sky, Wanner is also on the transfer list of Dutch top club PSV Eindhoven.
