Looking good for the European Championship! Pavlovic is already training with the ball again
Aleksandar Pavlovic has taken another step forward on his road to a comeback. The Bayern youngster is fully on course for the European Championship following his injury in the Hoffenheim game.
Confidence is growing that Aleksandar Pavlovic will be fit for the European Championship at home in Germany. After the 20-year-old was able to start individual training on Friday, the first session with the ball on his foot followed on Saturday. This positive development is extremely important for the youngster. The DFB team will be travelling to Blankenhain for a five-day training camp this Sunday, where Pavlovic naturally wants to be at the peak of his powers. The national team will then move into the World Cup qualifying camp in Herzogenaurach before the test matches against Ukraine (3 June) and Greece (7 June).
Everything is ready: Pavlovic ahead of European Championship participation
Nagelsmann still has to sort out one player before the day of the Greece game. In view of his rapid recovery, Pavlovic has the best chance of retaining his place in the DFB squad. This had been in doubt, at least for a while, after the centre midfielder suffered an ankle injury after half an hour in Hoffenheim on matchday 34.
From then on, however, everything went according to plan and Pavlovic can start his European Championship preparations with a great deal of optimism. He could make his debut for the senior national team as early as 3 June.
